Terms and Conditions

Bohemia Bay Studio (“Bohemia Bay”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates a professional photography and video studio located at 14/337 Bay Road, Cheltenham VIC 3192. By booking or using the studio, you (“Hirer”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Who Can Book:

You must be 18+ to make a booking. Minors may attend only with a responsible adult who supervises at all times.

2. Studio hours, rates & payments:

Standard hours: 7:00am – midnight, 7 days a week.

‍Rate:$99 per hour + GST (unless otherwise stated on the studio pricing page).

‍Payment: Bookings are made via our live online calendar and are paid in full at the time of booking by card.

‍Overtime: If you run over your booked time, overtime is charged in 1-hour blocks at the current hourly rate.Tip: In additional to your booking time, we allow a 15 minute setup and 30 minute pack down time. Please use this time to return the studio to the condition you found it in.

3. What’s included:

Use of the studio at the booked time, plus access/parking as signed on-site.

‍Lighting, stands, grip and modifiers listed on our Equipment Page —available with no extra fee for the listed gear.

4. Cancellations & reschedules (Studio Hire):

Full refund if cancelled online more than 1 hour before your booking start time as per our FlexiBook Guarantee. Reschedules are free and can be done online up to 1 hour before the booking start time.‍

Within 1 hour of start time or no-shows: the session is non-refundable.(Note: These terms apply to studio hire only.

5. Using the space safely:

‍You agree to: Operate all equipment safely and as intended; ask us if unsure. Ensure all attendees follow reasonable safety directions from Bohemia Bay staff, and online instructions. Comply with all laws, permits and approvals relevant to your shoot.

‍Prohibited: smoking/vaping indoors, open flames, hazardous materials, illegal activity.

‍Noise: keep to a reasonable level; respect neighbours and other tenants.

6. Cyclorama & mess policy:

No liquids on the cyclorama wall (including paints, resins, spills, or any liquid that can stain or damage). Materials used must be cleanable. Confetti, glitter, powders, sprays or similar require prior approval and thorough clean-up.

You are responsible for leaving the studio clean and as found. Excessive mess, damage, repainting or repair may incur charges at reasonable cost.

7. Animals on set:

Animals are welcome. Keep them under control and supervised at all times. You are responsible for animal safety, hygiene and any waste cleanup. Use only cleanable props/surfaces; avoid any risk to the animal, crew or property.

8. Security cameras & surveillance:

‍The studio uses CCTV for security and safety in general areas. No cameras operate in bathrooms or changing areas. By entering the premises, you consent to CCTV recording in line with our security practices.

9. Equipment care & damage:

All studio equipment remains Bohemia Bay Studio property. Report any malfunction or damage immediately. You are responsible for loss or damage to the studio, equipment, or fixtures caused by you or your attendees during your booking. We may invoice repair/replacement and reasonable cleaning costs.

10. Access, parking & conduct:

‍Follow the access instructions provided in your booking confirmation. Use only the allocated parking and load-in areas; do not block shared access. Bohemia Bay may end a session early without refund if unsafe, unlawful, or seriously disruptive behaviour occurs.

11. Intellectual property:

You retain ownership of your content. Bohemia Bay Studio claims no rights in your images or footage created in the studio. You are solely responsible for permissions, releases and any IP used in your shoot.

11. Liability & indemnity:

‍You use the studio at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bohemia Bay Studio and The Munna Co Pty Ltd are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss arising from equipment failure, theft, or interruption.

‍Liability cap: Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to your booking is limited to the total amount you paid for that booking.

You agree to indemnify Bohemia Bay Studio against claims arising from your breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or damage you cause.

12. Privacy:

‍We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Security cameras operate as noted above.

13. Changes to these terms:

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website and applies to new bookings immediately.

14. Governing law:

‍These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the Commonwealth of Australia.

15. Acceptance:

By booking online and/or using the studio, you confirm you’ve read and agree to these Terms of Service.
